how is that 390 just how with 6 mths mot
I've done some anoraking as the auto trader advert had no plate pictured. The MOT is actually until 22 June 2017, no advisories, however the mileage is from 2009 and is most likely at least 40-50k over that based on average miles since but the dash no longer works correctly.
There is a large scuff on drivers side front bumper almost visible in the only exterior photo.
Looks to have had a good overhaul in 2014 to pass the MOT and has probably had front pads and definitely rears and at least one tyre replaced since 2015 MOT.
Even with the higher mileage and a superficial scuff it doesn't look bad at all at Micra money. Hate to think what he gave for it for part exchange, £50?

Uh huh. Do we think this is a bad joke? I fancy writing to Dieter Z and asking, really, you know, aren't you maybe, just perhaps, going a bit too far on this one.
Anyway, here's a bear hug of bursting bork which looks to me like staggeringly good value. I think it has some kind of special wood, Designo flaming maple or something. And an owner who couldn't take a photograph if his life depended on it. And some seriously gash number plates. I think if I were viewing this, I'd go equipped with replacement plates, just in case I bought it and had to drive it home.

Gone from double garaged house to a flat. Perhaps the poor photos are to minimise the chance of a sale as the soon to be ex wife is getting the proceeds. Controversial statement:for me the fwd layout of the legend really affects it's barge kudos.

What price coil packs, a battery, and a massive pair of balls cos there's *definitely nothing else wrong* with this £2500 S600?

A good fighting fund required, I reckon. But then the coils won't need doing for a long time. My betting is that lack of use will tell its toll, but say the all-expensive suspension throws a - a few grand on top of a "negotiated" price and should be good for a further 100,000 miles? Could be a good long-term bargain?

I love that wood, and the external colour is rather yummy too - car looks a cracker. If you can live with yourself after exploiting another's supposed marital dramas, and I think I can, that could be a terrific buy.

I am very undecided whether I love or hate that wood. It's one of the two.
We think alike on the MB copywriters.
I'm definitely on the loving side on that wood. And the copywriters must be having a laugh. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about. We think alike on the MB copywriters.
Off topic, I've just got back from a week on business in Indianapolis. Walking around the downtown area one evening, it struck me how much nicer it was as an experience, simply because of the absence of diesels (and a surfeit of large-capacity petrols). It made me think of this thread, and made me feel exceedingly guilty about swapping the family heirloom E39 for a shedtastic Laguna dCi. I shall continue to seek penitence by lurking in the background until such time as I can redeem myself.

I've just got back from seeing this, the car and owner were both great. Unfortunately I'm yet again cursed by being over 2m tall and couldn't fit. The car itself was wonderful though, definitely a steal at the asking price so a massive disappointment that I didn't fit!Scottsz said:

I do love the seamless construction of the body around the tail lamps on these cars. 95% of owners I dare say would never notice, and of those that did, 95% would not care either way.
But that is difficult and expensive to do and very elegant. It is very charming that Mercedes bothered. A pernickety, not so charming, probably twitching engineer was behind that.
ETA: almost seamless...!
