Doesn't that point to a Jap import?

I could put up with them for a good shade, and that is lovely.

Awful. But easily changed. Nice to see one with black instead of grey leather.

Got a fresh ticket on the E39 today.

Which usually means I think about selling. I do fancy something a little less sensible.

That looks worse than the one I bought from Glasgow and sold to a Gypo for a handfull of magic beans. AVOID.

I've now covered 1000 miles in the V70, sorted the dodgy dash and tail lights and almost fallen asleep at the wheel.

It's making me drive like an old man, there's no need to rush in a comfy heated seat, although there is an irritating creak in the dash somewhere that will need investigation. Other than that it's going quite well.

V70s are rather charming old things. One might argue, in a moment of existentialism, that you 'become' a V70 driver when you drive a Volvo. Sort of.

English Literature A-Level Examination.

Time Allowed: 3 Hours. Answer two questions from Section A and one question from Section B. Do not attempt to write on both sides of the paper at the same time.

Section A.

1. What do you understand by the critical term "stream of consciousness"? Discuss with reference to the following passages.

“I was a Flower of the mountain yes when I put the rose in my hair like the Andalusian girls used or shall I wear a red yes and how he kissed me under the Moorish wall and I thought well as well him as another and then I asked him with my eyes to ask again yes and then he asked me would I yes to say yes my mountain flower and first I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will Yes.”

- Ulysses, James Joyce. 1913.

"when i got this car i did some research and as best as i could find out there where only 30 right hand drive Convertibles made for Renault by EBS and approx 1400 left hand drive, ok so its not a 5 turbo and has old lady gearbox but it is one of maybe a few convertibles ever made and probably the only one specially built in this style the exciting 1.4 automatic, the vehicle had been lurking in an aircraft hanger in Biggin hill and i bought it as it was going to the big scrappy in the sky "engine overheating" so i have done the head-gasket and a very few minor things new tyres etc put a radio in it " kept the original phillips" and have mot it twice will run out soon but i can get it mot for anyone who wants to drive it away, the vehicle would benefit from from some tlc to get her back to perfect condition ie the roof has two splits at the rear where it was left folded down for years and some of the plastics have faded, there is minor trolley ding in the drivers door like a 12" long scrap its not very deep easy fix. other than that the interior is in very good condition due to its genuine low mileage 28319 at last MOT yes that's genuine due to being abandoned all those years, now what's it worth , well its uniqueness must add value and i have seen the convertibles being sold for mad prices £10,000 "

I'd love to, but I figure E31s are a little out of my budget at the moment. let us know when you have an ad up though.

My V70 is going to a new home in the next few days and I am already getting a twinge of sellers remorse. They are very good cars. Mind you, I have not seen the cash yet. I have been let down before.....

On a brighter note the new barge search season is officially open. I have something lined up but not yet secure and so don't want to show my hand yet. In the meantime a backup plan would be good so please keep your eyes peeled for me. Petrol, large estate, xenons are my only essential criteria. Budget is the upper end of thread. Budget creep allowed for Something special......

I almost bought that car before you, only for one photo showing the rust on the rear quarter which put me off.
