I have some want for this, seems like a bargain to me. 5l of V8 and 7 speeds in your gearbox for £3289. I already have two cars so I really shouldn't but it is tempting....

Of for those for whom that's a bit small and a bit modern, a W140 S500 which also looks rather nice. Epic car/wheel size ratio:

The ad could use a soupçon more detail but it looks like a lot of car for the money....currently sitting at mid thread budget with 22 bids.
I love the colour but my kids would destroy that interior!
Ad says it's got a fresh MOT but a check says it runs out this week.
Very proper and at the Maison, as well.

118k miles at the last MOT.

Ooo ooo ...

We like it already!

Mrs Beano likes it already!

If only I had an excuse (more convincing than that would make for an excellent Costco trolley!!!)

Oh my, that's very nice. I may now be winning the auction though I imagine it'll go for more than I can justify spending.

Looking at the last 10 years MOT history, that's been properly looked after.

As long as there's no I issue with the petrol tank, it's a bargain.

Ask the seller to fill the tank, and agree you'll pay for the fuel if you buy the car?

Perhaps do this as a final step if you've agreed a price for the car, so the seller doesn't think you're messing him about.

That's the nicest E500 estate I've seen. Seems to be lacking heated seats and parking sensors though.

Yup, believe so. If you can get your head underneath I think you'll see the evidence pretty quickly. Perhaps worth mentioning on the phone that you'll definitely need to do this check before buying the car, so if the seller knows it leaks, it would be best you both avoid wasting your time (and his fuel) and you'll move on to a different car.

Or even make it a £80-£100 deposit? If the seller is genuine, you'll soon be able to gauge (pardon the pun) if the seller knows???

The lights on my e65 were about the most modern lights I've experienced on a car I've actually owned, they were excellent. However they were a bumper off job to replace a bulb.

Whilst we're talking lights, couple of things that annoy me in modern cars is the fog light coming in as they corner, also front only day running lights, ffs the result is so many people driving in the dark with only there front lights on. As a society have we become so useless and detached from the skill of driving!
Fully on board with what you are saying. I'm currently in a new BMW with LED lights, they are very very good and *should* never need replacing...... right.........right?

Think they have an 11,000hr life.

Agreed, it looks great. Good photos really help increase the want factor.

I hope he'll add another 50 when he does the full description like he did with mine (Lucienne - now owned over 10 months cloud9 )

To be honest, I'd rather see photos that hadn't been digitally enhanced. Those photos make me wonder why it has more lippy than all the Kardashian sisters combined.

Given a replacement tank os only about £350, it's not the end of the world.

That's what they are supposed to do. They can and do fail, though. I had one go: fortunately for me it was in the last month of warranty, so but it still meant that instead of spending five mins in Halfords car park changing a 99p bulb, I had to go a long way to a main dealer and leave the car overnight, which was extremely inconvenient and wasteful of my time. On top of that the bill if I'd had to pay it would have been more than £250: this was for an LED rear light panel on a 3-series Touring.

I know it's over thread budget, but this looks absolutely wonderful. Seller sounds like the perfect owner too.

Wow, very special indeed. Though I'm not sure I believe the story about the 20 lucky owners. More likely these were dealer launch roadshow cars that saw a lot of arse in the first few months of their lives. Not that they'll have been abused. Probably quite the opposite.

That steering wheel though, good grief.

That's some spec. Looks great on those wheels.
