Nice. Here's hoping you stopped for a photo opp before driving to your house on a council estate later. Not really hope that pile is yours. smile

It's definitely got a US look to it, but get rid of the gear lever and I think it'll date far better than the rather chintzy Merc interiors.

£1500 J plate 500SE looks nice in pale blue.

Needs a spruce perhaps, but cheap enough.

I'm more of a Zebrano fan myself wink. I reckon that could swallow a lot of cash in short order if you tried to make it good. Nice colour though

Bornite is hard to beat as a colour. The car's looking pretty crusty though. 5 months MOT ...

Don't stick it in an oval or a fanny. Don't surround it with clutter. Don't balance it on top of the air vents.
Irrespective of car design jargon, that's good life advice right there Jim!

Meh. I drove it up Alps like that and it was good as gold.

He makes no mention of the exhaust so perhaps it has a backbox now. (although most of the ad and pics are pilfered from previous owners). Shame.

It's far from a minter, but I reckon it'll make 300k if that rear arch doesn't!

Well it ended at £3k on the nose. To my mind, for that spec and maintanence it was a good deal for someone.
Oops smile

It's a hotel. Staff were very understanding.

I have never owned a house with a gravel drive. Do you have to rake it all the time?

A neighbour around the corner from me had a gravel drive. Nobody like them as there wad gravel all over the road. Pain in the arse.

Dangerous for skateboarders and rollerskaters.

Not at all. It's very low maintenance, just chuck some weed killer on occasionally.

Horrid if you want to work on the underside of a car though.
