That appealing Aspen Silver 750iL has been relisted as an auction.

Indeed. Very reliable engine too, as well as being sprightly and smooth. Is there any evidence of a water pump change in the history? If not you might want to think about doing it as a precaution. I managed to get mine changed for £350 all in, would have been north of £900 at the BMW dealer!
Hi there. Yes I have read about the cooling system issues. The car has been for a vehicle check at an independent bmw specialist today and no mention of any cooling problems.. Although part of me is thinking get it changed as a precaution, like you say
It's not the end of the world if it goes, just a pain as you'll be stuck somewhere waiting for the car to cool down. I got mine trailered to the garage in the end. Then had to source the part, get it delivered, get it fitted...car was off the road for a week in the end.

In hindsight I'd have had it sorted in a day as a precaution as apparently they all go at 70-110k or so. My cooling system was fine up until then too.

Nice car but the terms for offers are more than a bit bizarre! Why not just politely refuse any offers, trying to make a few £50's for nothing I guess? Leads me to believe the seller is one of those difficult types.

Apart from the fact it hasn't turned a wheel since Neighbours was on at teatime, doesn't appear to have been serviced for a similar period, will probably need tyres and god knows what else recommissioning and has a big scrawp down the flanks,?I like every single thing about that.

Crikey! Well, I love it and would happily take it (and the vendor) on in a spirit of nothing ventured...

Indeed. A concrete wall leapt out in front of my wife.

It was a 320 TE, purchased at auction for about £1,000. My first ever car auction. It was smoke silver, black sportline leather, heated electric memory seats, removable tow bar, air con, sportline chassis, I'm sure there was some more stuff on it. Yes, 5speed auto. What a great car.

I sold the scrap to my local garage man and then bought it back piecemeal.

Perfect w124? Good question...
Perfect '124. I had mine, like a chump I sold it. S124 300TE24. Cmoose had a drive of it actually smile

Here she is with my old M3, back when I was single, had plenty of parking and money to piss away:

ETA: Snap 129.... thought we had the same car there! Interesting to see the different ride height between standard and sportline.

Abysmal ad, but if I wasn't 166 miles from this E300 diesel I'd be taking a look. Very little apparent corrosion, acceptable miles/MOT history, and only £900.

Thoughts moving onto children in the next few years, has made me look into AMG estates.
Found a few nice E55's and 63's (won't be able to afford for 10 years i reckon) but also found an R63 AMG.
Didn't even know they did an R63...!?
12 in the UK, no?
Way too common, R63 L AMG is the one to find hehe

Well done! I noticed it only appeared on the PH classifieds search if I ticked the sold box lastnight.
