In budget, under 100k miles. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C818336
I can't tell what the real condition is from the photos though.
6000 miles in last (almost) 4 years and no MOT advisories since 2010. Looks promising.I can't tell what the real condition is from the photos though.
However, if it checks out it looks to be a decent car that could be an appealing little thing.

You are now, officially, one of us. You poor sap.
Ooooo - hark at you! Now. First Rule of Barge Club ... is ....
Audis are always welcome, although I think of all the threadists only Riley Blue actually admits to owning one.

D2 A8 is a cracking car, let alone as a Barge.

Well bought: I like it. Please bring it to a Barge gathering next year.
Or even better the one this yearCharlesdeGaulle said:
I wanted to hate that. Doom blue, dodgy badging, awry wipers, new number plates needed, 4 cyl engine, overdue a decent service yada yada. Plus, my MB spidey-senses tingle when I see phrases like bodywork good for the year, no signs of major wear, and bargain winter clearance.
However, if it checks out it looks to be a decent car that could be an appealing little thing.
It does look pretty good. I know of a similar doom blue 220 at a local body shop which has had a fair amount of work and I believe could be had for around 7.However, if it checks out it looks to be a decent car that could be an appealing little thing.

my ultimate w124 would be my late dad's, silver over blue cloth poverty spec 300d just for the memories, it doesn't appear on mot history sadly so I guess that too is gone, on a brighter note I've still got the memories
shame that you weren't able to hang on to it. I guess it's not forefront of the mind at those kind of times. Reason to go looking for a similar one though, even if just era.CharlesdeGaulle said:

ETA - looks like the Audi won't be joining us on the 29th however all being well we'll be there albeit in a rental.

I would bet at least some of it is still being used somewhere in the third world. Most of those were bought or nicked for export in the late 90's to mid 00's. Theft of 123's & 4's became so out of control in London, the police sent warning letters out to all owners and it was on the news a fair bit. A 300D wouldn't have lasted five minutes! Eventually they found their operation yard in Essex - they were chopping hundreds of them in half every month and stuffing them in shipping containers to export from Tilbury. IIRC they reopened again not long after!
