I think that's the point everyone else is trying to make to you.

If you're in a driving situation that needs to be solved with punches, kicks and submission holds, you got it very, very wrong about 20 or so minutes earlier.

Yesterday WAS International Ninja Day!

Maybe he was taking a day off from infiltrating high-security buildings or fighting off dozens of opponents who all mysteriously attack him one-at-a-time, so he could come onto a boring car forum and try and set the world right about road rage?!?

I had four charges hanging over me for some months. A guy in a vw transporter (posh one) pulled out from a side road right in front of me and gave me the finger as he did it. Infuriated and having just seen my life flash before my eyes I turned around and chased him a couple of miles caught up at a junction and blocked him. Rush hour countryside traffic, my crap Vito window didn't work so I walked to his window and asked why he did the imbecillic manouver. He was an annoying prat and I did nothing other than be very rude to him. A few weeks later I was being interviewed in my front room by an officer, charges were threatening behaviour, criminal damage, leaving the scene of an accident and I'm not sure about the last one but it was a bit like upsetting a homosexual. I was completely honest about the confrontation and luckily the BiB agreed with my version of events but a few months of worrying about the implications weren't good.
Lesson learned, conduct your business through and open window but why bother, if they've made you angry once they'll only increse it if you listen to them.

This made me laugh out loud in my office. Cheers for that!

This thread has become absolutely tragic. Going to drive with extra caution from now on, I don't want to get karate chopped into next week for forgetting to indicate.

Also the embarrassing arrogance that these MMA/martial arts guys have that they are a kung fu champ and everyone else is a hapless drunk who can't fight is a recipe for disaster. There is always someone harder than you.

Maybe I'm reading this thread and taking it slightly differently to others but I don't see where sebulban is saying that in a road rage situation he or any other martial artist would get out and beat the crap out of someone. I think it was more about how so many people are incredibly aggressive without the ability to back it up, it's very easy to be the tough guy sat in your car or behind a computer screen. yet again PH has loads of internet tough guys but then when faced with someone that would quickly make them realise they're not as tough as they think they are they then switch horses and start with the "I'm above all that"

I'd wager anyone on here claiming to be kung fu champ 2016 isn't as hard as they would like to think and that's where we have the problems. All these 'you're only hard behind a screen types' are as bad as each other.

Ee's well 'ard. I'm not well 'ard but somehow manage to get by just fine without going 5 rounds on the hard shoulder with some randomer for cutting me up (or 'disrespectin me (blud)'). If you consider your hand to hand combat prowess in any way relevant to driving then you're doing it wrong and need counselling (or prison). Also telling strangers on the internet about it is the height of cringeworthyness.

Just chill out, accept the cretinitude of the populace as ineffable fact and drive accordingly. Realising that it doesn't matter whether you arrive 10 seconds later or not will also do wonders for your blood pressure and life expectancy.

Lots of angry people around.

It's getting worse as is general increase in Phone use while driving, tailgating and red light running.

People are getting worked up over poor driving, the points above and somehow trying to self police the roads.
Which is never a good idea as you may come across some Davanti tyres road dominator who has martial arts training who really needs to either get laid or crack one off and calm the fk down.

My answer was to get a big barge of a car. It's comfy, quiet and has great seats and sound system.
Shut the great unwashed out and relax as you only going to rush to the next red light or traffic jam.

Yep. Range Rover works great for this. Very nice and comfy place to be, promotes a relaxed driving style and you seem to get tailgated/cut up/pulled out on, far less in something this size.

No mate you are reading it correctly.

The amount of strawman arguments that have cropped up is phenomenal!

People started turning road rage incidents into a critique of street fighting and that jiu jitsu wouldnt work.

And actually the debate about the most functional martial art was done in the early 90's when they formed the UFC. We know the answer.

And the shout of "if you are using martial arts in the streets you are twenty minutes too late" or something is bks. Ive said many times I do not start fights. But I read this thread and empathised with the fact that there are many idiots on the road and they use violence. And Im VERY happy I know how to defend myself as all these thugs have "lost."
