Another what car... 535d/XF or TDV8/Q7??
Discussion
out of the four above which one of each would you have?
13000 is my absolute max on the budget.
Owners opinion welcome on both please.
Or am I missing something else needs to be reasonably big and comfy as ferrying the MIL and Mrs400 about with the dog and a load of luggage.
Many thanks in advance

I had an XF Portfolio 'S', so the 275bhp one intended as a 535d rival.
Lovely car to drive, more sort of 'turbine smooth' than 'shove you in the back' and never really felt as quick as the numbers suggest, but the speedo certainly whipped around sharpish.
No issues with reliability nor build on mine. Mine had every conceivable extra on it, but early models have chairs rather than seats, and mine didn't feel particularly well-padded and had no real lateral support, which undermined it a bit as a driver's car. The touchscreen interface is also complex and very 'old hat' in terms of graphics.
If you drive one, remember the 'dynamic' button by the gear selector as this improves performance a touch.
