Not the best of pictures, but this was just up the road from where we used to live. It was there when we moved in 2009 and looked like it had been there a long time before.

That makes me sad. Like it's an old persons car outside a nice little bungalow and they're bed-bound inside, the car sits outside waiting to be driven to the seaside or somewhere nice. frown
That looks like an old Fiat Panda. Surely driving it to the seaside would be the automotive equivalent of a trip to Dignitas?
Location is Poole - tbh, if you gave it a shove it's pretty much downhill all the way to the sea hehe

Its a shame.
Just now i typed in the reg of my old golf in wrong..
Came up with another car
So i typed in and changed the variable.
Out of all the cars (T130 LKE - T139 LKE)
I used ten cars in my "survey"
Only 1 ( a black Golf 1.6 manual) was on the road today.
All the others met their death around 2009 like mine
They are fading away...

I'm not sure too many people will miss that generation of Golf. Then again, I never thought I'd miss the mk1 Rover 800 but I'd love one now they're gone.

It was quite a boring car.. but it did the job and I have liked VW/Audi ever since. It was my first VAG car, well after the VR6 MK3 I had.. It looked rather nice on the IV GTI wheels I had. Still have the original steelies....(should of swapped them over to the insurance comapny so I could keep the GTI wheels but oh well)

The Acty that I gave as an example is just on google images.
The one that's in the garden near me (can't see the reg) is in Ushaw Moor, County Durham.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they're Morris Minorr and they've been rotting there for at least 25 years. I used to walk past them every day to get to school.

Weird thing is there's an additional one that's appeared recently in similar condition(another old morris minor i think) that's not yet appeared on an updated streetview. They do seem to move around now and then and the tarps usually get replaced as they get tatty too.

Surely they're beyond salvage? confused

Since at least 2008, accordingly to Google Street View.

It appeared to have a companion too until some point between 2012 and 2014.

the Rover has been on the driveway since at least 1998 when I lived in the street. Its still there, and must be beyond restoration now. Probably held together by the rust and stubborn understains....

Not too far from me in an abandoned old garage..

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.7600738,-1.56870...

Been there for aslong as i can remember.

Rover, Maestro & Cavalier all left to rot away in there.
You need to look at the MOT history of that Cavalier to understand why it's dumped there.
There is no MOT history available for the Cav.
This place is a place of local infamy, most of the residents want it demolished.
A little bit of delving found that there were these cars in 2011:

C reg Volkswagen Passat CL (seemingly destroyed)
Reg: C694 LTO
Date of liability: unknown

L reg Renault Master T35 D panel van (destroyed/scrapped)
Reg: L94 HUD
Date of liability: 31 May 2005

H reg Austin Maestro (still there)
Registration Unknown
Date of liability: Unknown

J reg Skoda Favorit Forum Plus (survived, albeit SORN)
Registration: J34 OBD
Date of liability: SORN

H reg Vauxhall Cavalier L
Registration: H439 CBM
Date of liability: 14 September 2012

H reg Rover 800
Registration: H630 YRA
Date of liability: 01 December 2003

J reg Lada Samara
Registration: J547 DRA
Date of liability: unknown

C reg Vauxhall Astra
Registration: C140 ORG
Date of liability: 27 February 1998

Here are some pictures of the cars, I have attempted to source one picture for every car. Sorry they are crap. And yes, I do know that the "Passat" is in fact an Austin.

The pictures were taken circa 2011.

The garage in Church Gresley, Derbyshire is now planned for demolition to turn in to houses. It may have already started, hence the sad death of the Renault Master and some others.

Here's a quote.
BurtonMail.co.uk said:
Grenville Isham, who owns the former Jetberg Garage, in Castle Road, confirmed it would be bulldozed in the future, but would not give a reason for the delay, adding he hoped it would not be too long.

It comes after Mr Isham previously asked for more time before the demolition, as he had suffered two family tragedies in a short amount of time.

The garage, which was abandoned with cars locked inside, is often referred to as being 'stuck in time'.

It has been closed since 2002, but cars from the early 1990s still sit on its forecourt covered in dust.
For many years, Mr Isham has been asked when something will happen at the site. Several plans have been submitted to South Derbyshire District Council to use the site for homes, but none have yet come to fruition.
Mr Isham, of Hall Lane, Willington, had been continuing to trade there – one car at a time – but the selling dried up several years ago and the site has fallen into disrepair.

In 2010, the Mail reported that an application to build 14 homes on the site had been one of the longest running at the authority.
So,

where's my bearding points?

There's a house near mine that had/has loads of old Hondas on the drive. It used to be a really nice big house with "in and out" driveways, but they were just blocked up by these old Hondas. So strange.

Now it's completely overgrown, there's only one entrance into the drive. The other has grown over, but the cars are still there. I had to go back to 2008 on Streetview to get these photos...

You can see the two driveways and all the old Hondas in there.

these have been here for years - must be a decade or so I've been driving past them

this one has been there for about 20 years. occasionally cleaned, sometimes the trees were trimmed. Although it moved about 2 months ago - didn't have any visible work done on it anytime recent though.

It doesn't get more ordinary than this old Transit van. Been sitting there rotting for many years.

The SD1 in front of it looks a bit cheeky, but upon closer inspection, also dumped. frown

Did you see the back garden of that house? Like a scrapyard and the house itself is boarded-up.
