These haven't moved in years

I'd love to machine polish those, faded pink brought back to red.
Single stage paint means that you'd probably struggle...
No, that's the main reason it has faded and is reversible by removing the oxidation.

This is interesting / relevant...

In Ambleside today, inside was quite mouldy and had quite a few engine bits scattered around
If I remember Jonny Smith aka Car Pervert / The Late Brake show correctly, some parts are Figaro only and therefore hard to get and very expensive. Perhaps thats why.

But wouldn't you effectively be trying to 'buff' a nonexistent lacquer?

The only reason I suspect this is that my father has a Tornado Pink (but otherwise mint) 90s Polo GT (that was mine) tucked away in the garage, and try as we might we couldn't make any impact on the paint with a rotary polisher.

Nope, single stage red paint is super satisfying to bring to a nice deep shine.

Unfortunately it doesn't tend to last forever hehe

These absolute beauties have been parked on this bit of grass for as long as I have lived in the area (8 years).....Streetview shows them there since at least 2008!!

Whoever it is, obviously likes a flame pink 90's Vauxhall....and under the cover is a blue Vauxhall 'Midi' Van...on which the tarp seems to be replaced periodically.....The parking space immediately to the right always has a slightly more modern Vauxhall of some sort parked adjacent, so I assume remains an avid fan of all things Griffin related....

Feel sorry for the residents of that cul-de-sac personally, what an eye sore....
What a mess. You’d think they’d be eligible for a fine or removal seen as that surely isn’t private land and they must have expired MOTs some of them.

Huh. Currently on SORN, MOT expired in March 2010, but logbook last updated in November 2011. What’s gone on there?

No idea what this is, but not moved for some time, and looks like the garage doors will be rubbing the bumper.

Looks like 1992 K plate. That grill and vent below the number plate makes me think Maserati. It's close but I'm doubting myself - number plate location for a start...

Hmmm...
Are there 208 pints of milk on the doorstep and lots of flies coming out of the letterbox? Or perhaps the resident has just developed a severe sensitivity to daylight and a sudden fear of driving!

That was my thought too, but in 1992 the only Proton would have been a Saga (unless my brain has omitted something) and that's definitely not one of those.

ETA - a quick Google isn't showing me any version of the Proton badge that looks like that...
