It doesn't get more ordinary than this old Transit van. Been sitting there rotting for many years.

The SD1 in front of it looks a bit cheeky, but upon closer inspection, also dumped.

There used to be this long row of em in West Bridgford (and some behind). I seem to remember one being a Ferrari

Did you see the back garden of that house? Like a scrapyard and the house itself is boarded-up.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.9298694,-1.12460...
I used to cycle past this genuine Alpina E39 every day on my way to high school and college, its sat there unmoved for at least 10 years getting more and more green with algae on the leeward side. Then the house went up for sale in 2009. One day in 2010, I came past to find the house sold, the BMW gone, and the garage open revealing a mint Mk3 Escort XR3 that was being dragged onto a towtruck.
I wonder what happened to both cars, as they both must have, well, "set" from standing there so long - the BMW especially being outside.
I also wonder what was going through the mind of the owner - and whether the house was actually lived in or even visited during those 10 years.

Ha! No, to my eternal shame, I dipped into this thread part-way through. Having a casual browse, as it were. What are the chances of the first post being the exact same motors as I've spotted? Quite high, apparently.

this one has been there for about 20 years. occasionally cleaned, sometimes the trees were trimmed. Although it moved about 2 months ago - didn't have any visible work done on it anytime recent though.
Dare you to lean over the fence and paint "Boaty McBoatface" on the side of it https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.8473723,-1.04395...

This one has been here for years, as it was still in the same place yesterday!

Somewhat ashamed to say my 205 GTI has all but been abandoned for many many years. Currently abandoned in my garage, previously abandoned in the underground carpark at our last place, and before that on the street in London. Sometimes I think of selling it, but then I dream of getting roadworthy again once the kids are older and I have more cash and time. I know if I get rid I'll never have another.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.422291,0.2287126...

I wonder how many of the cars in this thread are the result of the owner doing porridge?

Not too far from me in an abandoned old garage..

Been there for aslong as i can remember.
Rover, Maestro & Cavalier all left to rot away in there.
You need to look at the MOT history of that Cavalier to understand why it's dumped there.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.7600738,-1.56870...

This place is a place of local infamy, most of the residents want it demolished.
A little bit of delving found that there were these cars in 2011:
C reg Volkswagen Passat CL (seemingly destroyed)
Reg: C694 LTO
Date of liability: unknown
L reg Renault Master T35 D panel van (destroyed/scrapped)
Reg: L94 HUD
Date of liability: 31 May 2005
H reg Austin Maestro (still there)
Registration Unknown
Date of liability: Unknown
J reg Skoda Favorit Forum Plus (survived, albeit SORN)
Registration: J34 OBD
Date of liability: SORN
H reg Vauxhall Cavalier L
Registration: H439 CBM
Date of liability: 14 September 2012
H reg Rover 800
Registration: H630 YRA
Date of liability: 01 December 2003
J reg Lada Samara
Registration: J547 DRA
Date of liability: unknown
C reg Vauxhall Astra
Registration: C140 ORG
Date of liability: 27 February 1998
Here are some pictures of the cars, I have attempted to source one picture for every car. Sorry they are crap. And yes, I do know that the "Passat" is in fact an Austin.
The pictures were taken circa 2011.
The garage in Church Gresley, Derbyshire is now planned for demolition to turn in to houses. It may have already started, hence the sad death of the Renault Master and some others.
Here's a quote.
BurtonMail.co.uk said:
Grenville Isham, who owns the former Jetberg Garage, in Castle Road, confirmed it would be bulldozed in the future, but would not give a reason for the delay, adding he hoped it would not be too long.
It comes after Mr Isham previously asked for more time before the demolition, as he had suffered two family tragedies in a short amount of time.
The garage, which was abandoned with cars locked inside, is often referred to as being 'stuck in time'.
It has been closed since 2002, but cars from the early 1990s still sit on its forecourt covered in dust.
For many years, Mr Isham has been asked when something will happen at the site. Several plans have been submitted to South Derbyshire District Council to use the site for homes, but none have yet come to fruition.
Mr Isham, of Hall Lane, Willington, had been continuing to trade there – one car at a time – but the selling dried up several years ago and the site has fallen into disrepair.
In 2010, the Mail reported that an application to build 14 homes on the site had been one of the longest running at the authority.

I'm not convinced that's a genuine Alpina. The wheels look fake to me.Having an E39 with that spoiler, it just looks like a stock E39 with the sport spoiler on Alpina reps.

This mk1 Golf has sat in this driveway for at least 4 years, still looks fairly presentable but never seen it move.
The Zephyr & the brown one aren't abandoned, guy still has the Zephyr & two Triumph Heralds which see semi regular usage, however the R5 GTT is gone but the covered car in pic is a Nova SR in a sorry state.
This has also lain here as long as I can remember, looks rather Tornado pink now, early typ19 mk2 as well.t
Apparently this is a one owner from new car, old ladies son purchased it from down south when they were launched, but it has been there a long time as he lives in the Far East now yet has no intention of parting with it. Sits on concrete but exposed to the elements & pretty green now.

This one used to be a proper scrapyard / repair place back in the 70s. Bloke that ran it was massively into banger racing.
What's that at the back with the strakes on the rear window? Another Lotus?
That's the road to the boat yard in Martham. I went there and borrowed a boat for a week this summer. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.7097644,1.612698...
