The Cortina has a GT badge on the rear wing, presumably painted to look like a Lotus. Very common thing to do in the period.

I had a Mk3 GTi and then a MK4 1.6 so that's quite depressing for me

Heh, I liked them.
Won't be missing them ever since I bought a 330i though.
that GTI is what I met my wife in
The 1.6 is what I raised my kids in

Both have sentimental value, strangely I found the arthritic 1.6 more fun to drive than the GTI...

Thinking about a Golf R or something..

On the subject of RX7s, this one has been left to rot in an apartment car park.

It was around 2 years ago when I first saw it, and as far as I know it's still there looking quite dilapidated. I'll try get a pic next time I'm there.

Someone has obviously put some effort into modifying and then just left it there, major engine failure maybe?

I wonder if its anything to do with the Supra just over the other side of the fence?

Funnily enough, 1 house has an uno, house 2 doors down has a 205 diesel! Like the 1990's!

Spotted this whilst on a bike ride a while back, Southampton Road just outside Ringwood:

Been there +10 years, walk past it very regularly. Pretty well shot.
Yeah, watched that one slowly rot away, close to collapse if someone tried to move it now I reckon!
