Seemingly only 186 examples of the SV ever made it to production so it does indeed seem like there is some "investor potential" in there if that's the case
that's my understanding too, and only 28 were RHD I am told.

early cars, has 99-02 Diablo Brakes in a heavier car, hence the braking gets criticised (as did the early Diablo's getting late Countach brakes)
Cheaper replacements are available from Girodisc.

Its an evolution of the Diablo, which is an evolution of the Countach - same basic tubular chassis, same basis of engine and layout - just bigger, more powerful and faster!

Lambo's these days leave me a little cold, while I loved the Murci when it came out, I think there's much more interesting stuff to be had for this money.
The only real "unique" appeal here would be the V12.

Biggest let down imho is the interior. It doesn't give a sense of occasion like you'd expect on a car like this.

Got to chip in here I love everything about the car. The engine is a sledgehammer and it utterly punishes the cocky driver. Challenging, rewarding and makes you go deaf and a terrifying prospect in the wrong hands, cold or wet roads.... In an era of flappy paddle luxury it's nice to be made to work really hard and be smooth for your driving rewards. Bewitching gated manual V12 theatre.
And your car is the reason I'm looking at this thread Sandy! Awesome thing and the sound is just sensational..

Jesus, guys do some proper research - the engine is not from a Ferrari!

Bizzarini designed the 350GT engine, which powered all V12 Lamborghini's until the Aventador.
Colombo was a Ferrari engine design.
Good Lord, well spotted. Shocking.

All I can think of is SG54 LAM.

One of the most interesting supercar stories I've ever followed.

I was about to say the same thing. Doesn't take a lot of research...

Hands in the air - my mistake about attributing the engine design. It was, of course, a Bizzarrini design. Apologies for any confusion.

Apologies, this has been amended now! We should have noticed when the original copy was supplied but our knowledge was sadly missing that day. Contributors and staff have been advised to be more thorough in future!

I am amazed a 14 year old example costs so much, always liked them though.
Why? Plenty of older cars go for huge money.
This isn't old enough though... It's a 2000s Lambo. I'm honestly surprised they're worth anywhere near £100k - I'd have guessed £50k for a decent one. Car prices are going crazy now - there has to be a big crash soon, because it's gotten silly.

I dunno where you've amended it - the article at the top of this thread still says Columbo.
It sticks out like dogs balls if you have any knowledge of classic Italian motors.

People have been talking about a crash for years. At some point, someone might be right.

How old does a car need to be to be collectible? Can I mention La Ferrari, Enzo, P1, 918, GT3 RS 4.0 etc etc, who didn't have any vesting period before they were selling for well above list, never mind £100k.

The Murci is worth it all day long as far as I'm concerned. You may have a different view, but neither you or me are the market.

Once again you and I are very alike.....

The "market" is indeed a strange place, are they trading slightly above what they are worth ? Probably, but not by a great deal. They seemed to go as low as £70,000 but have rallied from there.

The cheapest in the UK is the wrapped Burnt orange LHD one at £99,999 cheapest European one €130,000.

The killer with them is Servicing, £2000 plus VAT for fluid filters and plugs, plus a "visual inspection" seems lumpy, there are a couple of us on here that do tinker, and they are not that difficult to work on.

As with lots of cars unless you have experienced one - especially with an 8 year old boy, you may not get it.....
