So it's actually £320/month over the course of the lease. Still not too bad I guess.
There you go.
Depends on your situation bearing in mind he lives in London so the congestion charge is also an issue and he is stuck in London traffic most of the time .
Horses for course as they say .

Happy to ask where he got the deal if anyone needs to know

Base spec is better than your usual BMW car. So much so that the list of options on the i3 is quite small.
Urmm.... I don't think so ithe list maybe slightly smaller but honestly the standard sat nav unit looks really out of place in the funky interior, the standard speakers are properly lacking if your coming from a same priced 1 series. The nice wood interior and seats are an additional cost. Those gopping wheels on a standard car can onto be replaced if you spend £500 extra or the performance pack which is £1000+.

As I say mines due March 2017 as I don't want it mid Jan but I was shocked what options became essentials.

I'm on my second .... well I will be when it arrives on Friday.

I really like them and they are great fun to drive. I've sold my Mercedes a45 for it. The merc was new in May and had only done 2600 miles when I sold it.

Roll on Friday !

Saw one of these in the town centre the other day. The thing shot off the lights like a scalded rat, my wife was taking the p**s out of me for being smoked off the lights by an I3.

Seemingly 6.4 seconds to 60, so not actually quicker than my car, but if you do a full throttle launch in my car, people hear you, it draws attention.

Mr I3 was almost completely silent.
I3 gets max torque 100% of the time. Expect its 0-30 time to be quicker than your car.

Truly brilliant things
Yeah it's the 0-30 on these cars, even the leaf, that really makes them difficult to beat off the line. The leaf flattens out once above 30 and ends up taking a time more in keeping with a mundane family chariot. But 0-30 they really go.

From zero my i3 isn't that quick, because it hasn't got any gears to enable it to get into the power curve. It's quick between about 20 and 50mph, at any other speed merely brisk.

I've been running mine since August, and it's really grown on me. Performance is good, it doesn't handle amazingly but then it's not designed to, and its certainly no worse than a lot of the mainstream competition. Charging is easy, you can set the car to warm up via the App, so no more iced up windscreens in the winter. I've spent only £3 on petrol since Aug and have managed to run solely on electric the rest of the time.
It'll run at 70-75mph on the motorway using the little range extender petrol unit so if you do have a longer journey on the odd occasion, it's still perfectly manageable. Oh and it's got rear hinged back doors which are cool!
