It stops short of the full five stars, however, because as a brand, there remains a cold whiff of web forum about McLaren – the fastidious attention to detail, the obsessive pursuit of lap times over character. It’s why it loses out to carmakers such as Ferrari and Aston Martin for both desirability and aura.
Seriously?

So whats your problem with this? Should it get 5 stars in the GT class? If i was after a GT, this would never spring to mind ahead of Bentley Continental, DB10 and Vanquish, Ferrari FF....lets be honest, its just a 570s with softer suspension and a gimicky rear parcel shelf..LOL

Not an issue with the 4 out of 5 stars, but the 'whiff of web forum' and 'attention to detail' comments.

Btw, AutoCar recently tested 570GT vs Bentley Continental and another model I forget. They chose the 570GT. I do agree that the Bentley is probably easier to live with though.

'Or a cold whiff of reality' . I've had a few Aston and loved the cars but I and don't even bother opening the tossy magazines any more, they go straight in the bin because they are all about 'lifestyle' rather than anything to do with the f*ing cars. I'm more than happy to move to a brand which is about the cars rather than the 'aura' .
