Although not a R/M135 comparison, I have a MK7 GTI and my wife a 125iM, both manual.
Although I love GTi's the BMW is just better. The seats are great, the steering is go kart like and the power is always always there.
Apart from not getting let out of junctions I prefer the beemer and im a committed front wheel drive man.
When im in the beemer I feel like Im gonna have fun and I do.
PS - she wont let me hoon it about.

How did you go about contacting terry ... I sent a PM to him on the forum but he hasn't yet repsonded?
TRL is Tony Lewis at Berry Heathrow. There is a subforum here - http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=80

That forum has a few threads that will help you figure out roughly how much it is going to cost you, and to contact him you will get a quicker response through his email address. According to the M140i thread I think that they might not be accepting orders on the 140 until January due to selling out their Q1 quota.

There is a webapp you can use to get a ballpark figure, though not sure if it has been updated with the 2017 prices yet, and obviously if you don't want to go PCP you will need to contact Tony to figure out the list price. (from memory, I think that my car was about £8100 below list) - http://s.codepen.io/dotcommoner/debug/zKrXbB
