Yes, but it shows that petrol manual V6 are available. I've linked you to Ebay Germany where surprisingly enough they sell Left hand drive ones more prominantly than they do over here.

Of course, there are other options that are more easily available given that Omegas are becoming a rarer sight on the road given their age now.

A Few? There is only 1 V6 manual saloon and it's beat up. The rest are 4-pots or estates.

2.5l or 3.0l V6 4WD Galant? I know it breaks the RWD layout thing, but I think they're nice looking cars, and a neighbour of mine loved his estate version.

A Few? There is only 1 V6 manual saloon and it's beat up. The rest are 4-pots or estates.

But it does meet ALL of your criteria

And it is Left Hand Drive.

And it meets your sub criteria of not being a 4 pot.

So, case in point, they are available, that is just one sight we have looked on with very narrow search terms.

That would be the VR4 only. Try to find one in LHD and for a good price

But I really want RWD. Have a AWD now already.

I would disagree. The 2.5 engine is strong, 170bhp with plenty of torque, and whilst it is a "large" car it is also still quite light compared to modern cars. I had one, and it was good. They also did the 3.2 which replaced the 3.0 V6 at the same time as the 2.6 replaced the 2.5. There is also a straight 6 cylinder 2.5 diesel - but that's a BMW engine so it might not fit your desires.

Have you found any Audis you like in your range? I'm not familiar with them in the same way as I've never owned one. Probably easier to find on the continent again (which is where I assume you are looking) and their relative ubiquity also means they are likely to be cheap. A6/A8 might be in manual and have a decent enough engine.

I have driven them. The 3.0 V6 at around 208bhp is just adequate. The 2.5 struggles. The 2.0 is a mess.

The BMW engine would not be a problem. But it's also only 130bhp too.

Audis are FWD or AWD only. Like all VWs. No RWD. Besides I don't want another VW. Have a Passat 4motion estate now already.

I think then, we've essentially ruled out everything other than a 5 series, without finding a very rare model of Mercedes that was specced as Manaul, or a weird manual version of a USA car, or something Japanese.

Since year 2000, the majority of cars sold in the sector that you are looking at were sold with Auto boxes because of the type of person buying them and the job they were doing with it.

The Omega didn't last much longer beyond 2000 anyway, late 2002-early 03 before Opel realised they weren't selling enough large cars to make any money because they couldn't compete with BMW, Merc and Audi who otherwise held their place at the top of executive saloon market.

Ford didn't make the Scorpio then did they, which will be much equivalent to the Omega.

So, BMW cracked on and continued making RWD manual cars, Audi moved over to Quattro mostly, and Mercedes were seemingly all sold to taxi drivers and executive chauffeurs meaning that the Auto was the gearbox of choice.

I really don't know what Japanese stuff you could get that was also manual.

You've set yourself a very narrow criteria.

If you already have a Passat Estate, why does your RWD car have to be so large? As said, your criteria are very very narrow.
