Ive not read that one, though I can believe the Lambo would be better on track. A customer of ours was here in his Huracan last week and said its far more aggressive than the R8, more suited to hard driving.Adz The Rat said:

Am headed from Chamonix to Italy on Saturday morning Dan....let me know if you want to make a convoy in the RS. The MB tunnel will sound epic in that Lambo....vid please!
Gutting, missed you by 24 hours. Hope you have a good run - conditions were great yesterday! And sorry for slow reply, wasn't much time for checking mails/posts yesterday... Dan
Wow, that sounds like an epic journey I wasn't a fan of the Huracan's looks when it first came out, compared to the relative simplicity of the Gallardo, but the styling revisions of the two-wheel drive version and the layer of road crap have changed my mind. That looks fantastic!
Dan, have any journos actually managed to drive a Huracan on standard dampers and standard steering? The Dynamic steering especially comes in for quite a lot of flak, but I can't remember reading a review without it.

Hiya,
This car didn't have the hated Dynamic Steering and nor did the last one we drove in the UK and reviewed here.
I'll be talking more about it in relation to this car in the 'formal' feature I'm working on but the short answer is the passive steering isn't that great either, being geared towards the bottom end of the variable rack. It's much, much slower than a 488 GTB or McLaren as a result and very light and vague, especially at low speeds. Accordingly you don't get much faith in being able to lean on the front end as much as you might with the rivals. Even the R8, which also has the same Dynamic Steering, is better because it effectively 'locks' the ratio around the middle of the range when you're in the Dry setting on the optional additional modes.
Numbers and other geekery in the linked story above.
