Not sure if it's a typo or not, but on page 71 there is a conversation quote that says "A 289cc engine", obviously this should be a 289 cu in and not cc, but did the lady in question say cc or cu in?

Thanks Richard....289ci it should be...just caught the new print run !

She was talking inches !

The big prob writing a book is that every time you read through a page you change something
I have read every page maybe 50 times and you still miss something
Maybe it will be easier on the next book but I doubt it

I saw this too late and wanted to order, then saw they were back in stock and ordered! #828 for me. Thanks again, looks like a good read and for a great cause.

Hi Bizzarini, are you still open to the idea of writing a personalised message? How do I go about this?

Fantastic, bookmarked this thread before Christmas but missed the rush, very happy there's a second run.

It's the same with anything written -- e-mails, documents, whatever. You sort of become blind to the mistakes through familiarity with the sentences. Even if you don't employ a proof reader it's a good plan to get someone else to read it to see if there are any mistakes. I have a copy of Innes Ireland's book that is so full of typos it's almost unreadable.

I think I also found one near the back -- p110 last sentence "things just go for from bad to worse".

Got my hands on one of the original first batch today (No.779) thanks to 16VJay on here.

But as it is all for a great cause, I have just placed an order for another copy from the new print run - Order No; 844

Looking forward to the new 80's/90's book Michael, please make it happen for Xmas 2017 smile

Keep up the great work.

Tony

I had the choice of a professional proof reader at £250 or a non-professional at £100
Costs were spiralling so I took the latter with no regrets
IF I had known the book would sell so well I maybe would have gone the £250 route.
Maybe.

I'm not a professional or a semi-professional, but if you want the next one looked at for free I'm happy to give it the once over.

Copy ordered (#851), thanks for arranging the extra print run! And I'm happy to be kept on any list of interested parties should a follow up book - or books - happen. Just in case I miss it on here...

Cheers,
Ally
