I had the choice of a professional proof reader at £250 or a non-professional at £100
Costs were spiralling so I took the latter with no regrets
IF I had known the book would sell so well I maybe would have gone the £250 route.
Maybe.
I'm not a professional or a semi-professional, but if you want the next one looked at for free I'm happy to give it the once over.
Same here. I'm a fairly busy bloke but am good at that sort of thing. I enjoyed your book hugely, but was rather surprised by the number of typos that made it through.

Arrived in deepest France thank you, and already well into it. It wasn't numbered, but no worries. It is a good story.

Just remember when your previous target date to sell all the books were! Did you go 500 or 1000?

I think a summer of motoring events should easily shift the books. And maybe haymarket may write a piece....

A plug in the book review section of C&SC would easily see to that. Or even better, someone like Mick Walsh or Simon Taylor mentioning it in more depth in their column abd using it as an excuse to do their own reminiscing on past cars.
Mods, can this be passed on to the magazine team?
