Probably in my top 3 of all time.....apart from the price, I can't see much wrong with them, timeless and absolutely stunning.... .I saw one at MB World and fell in love although I have to say it looks better in black than the silver one they had in. Disappointing if the Rooney story is true.

Rooney's was a cabrio IIRC

I also recall a lot of talk of these being something of a bargain when new in comparison to the SLR, and that the engine produced slightly more power than advertised. Fantastic looking thing in the metal

Pretty cheap now compared to that other mad AMG CLK from a few years previous too

Nice! And at least with carbon fibre extensions the rear arches won't rust like the rest of Mercedes from this era.
Wrong era the W208 is the one with the rust issues the 209 had them solved.

I'm the biggest Mercedes AMG fan - but that is too much money.

As they say a Black Series (which is rare) can be had for less than half, what? Maybe £70k? They're taking the piss at this price.
I'd take one of these over the black series to get some noise out of one of these wouldn't be to hard there are lots of vocal 55's out there.

I'd pay the money only 100 made, also this car was supposed to be a better drive than the SLR it was actually neutered so as not to outshine the range topping SLR.
