An absolute bargain - this surely won't hang about for long. Years of trouble free motoring ahead, ideal as a city car.

The survivors are always the old man spec base model auto dull hatchbacks that spend their life garaged and doing 1000 miles a year. It even has the requisite AA badges and the cheap aftermarket wheel trims. Is there anything worse than cheap wheel trims?
I can think of plenty of things worse than cheap wheel trims, but on a car like this, who really cares about the wheel trims? I'd rather see something like this on the road with AA badges and plastic wheel trims than some shonky little hatch covered in stickers and Halfords best tat, with a soft toy dangling from the tow hook.

Could say that about something a lot less ancient, with airbags, ABS brakes and all that good stuff.

I do however have a soft spot for these, utterly devoid of any flair, style or character, they did get the job done.

For some reason I think this is great!

When st cars become old and rare, it's like they've survived against all odds. I'd happily drive round in this laugh

I once hired one of them on holiday in Jamaica in the early 90's.

When it came to a steep hill you could either (a) go up it or (2) keep the air con on.

But not both at the same time.

Nothing wrong with this sort of thing .
I used to love the px cars at the last garage that I worked for. Too old to retail ,low mileage, serviced to the max ,usually by the garage that took it as a px .
I have bought about six of varying makes and models ,all for peanuts ,all have been utterly reliable all sold on for a profit .
A couple that I wished that I had kept .
If I had a garage I would love this .

I had two of these in their 3 door form. First one a 1.3LX and after that a 1.4LS - while my dad had a 1.6GSX. This shed and my wee 1.4 had a 12 valve engine and they were lovely little engines. Sweet revving and smooth (particularly so on the 1.4) - wonder if G125SGD is still on the go, along with G303THS and H303CNS..........
I'll stick my neck out and say that my wee 1.4 was one of my favourite cars - along with my Primera 2.0eZX. Much maligned but great wee cars

I read it as three owners, two of them OAPs?

Is this Shed of the Week or Classic Car of the Week? Nothing desirable about this whatsoever, and that autobox is the nail in the coffin. Is there one next week? Please end the year on a high.

Bizarre. I had a 1.3GS. I am not going to waste any more time talking about it.

Usually mated with beaded seat covers, and sometimes those little 3-fin spoilers that went on your wiper arms...

Confession time:

I get far more excited when I see an old-but-in-good-nick shed like this trundling around that when I see a new GTR, or M5, or whatever.

Is there something wrong with me?

That is an old-folks home on wheels!

Can't be many of these left on the road now?
