Everyday cars which are already starting to disappear

Not saying they have disappeared, just not seeing them anymore yet strangely some cars seem to be ubiquitous even at advanced age, early R series Mini, S type Jags & early L322 Range Rovers despite these cars supposed unreliability!
Atleast with the Range Rovers we just love them too much to put them down. Like a sick pet you dont care for the cost to keep it going.nunpuncher said:
On the Saab point. I quite fancied a late 93 estate but the GM association made me nervous and I read a few posts on here about there being some incredibly temperamental brain tied to the stereo which controls all sorts of things. If you can't fix it with a hammer and gaffer tape I'm out.
yeah you dont see alot round, which for me is a good thing, especially of the later 2010+ model. These would be the ones to go for if you want to avoid the stereo fibre optics thing, I have a 2011 9-3 and really enjoy it.
According to howmnayleft.com, there are only 200, 2011 1.9TTiD Turbo editions currently registered, cheap to run and are built like tanks.

For me it’s the (P1?) shape, or first generation V70/S70. I see more 740s and 940s than the early V70, which is odd. The S70 seemed a rare car even in the day, my old man had a dark green one for about 9/10 years, since it got sold around 13 years ago, I’ve probably seen less than a handful on the road.
The other is the Nissan Primera.. my grandfather had an S-reg, possibly a hatchback, in red. I can’t remember the last time I saw one of those.
On the flip side, I seem to see a disproportionate number of Rover 25/45s around and about still, plus some seriously doggy looking 75 estates.

Renault 4's. Not many left, but one is driven in Folkestone and i saw two being used quite normally in France recently.
Now where are the Renault 16's these days? Are there any left? Or Puegeot 404's.Massive in their day.

They've all been out of production for 40 years and upwards!
Eta not the Renault 4, admittedly. I'm not quite sure when they became unavailable

I’ve been trying to look for a clean, facelift, petrol E46 M Sport saloon with a straight six (320, 325, 328, 330) with a manual and electric leather for ages, that has low mileage (<100k) and little rust, but there are literally none. There’s a few on autotrader, but they don’t always look great, and if they do, they’re expensive. I think £4,500 would be the most I’m looking to pay.

I don’t believe you’ll find any facelift 328s just to narrow your selection down furtherA500leroy said:
Not seeing many Disco 2 or Freelanders any more
As someone who recently bought a pre faclift Freelander 1, after looking at Disco 2's as well, I can assure you there are loads about. I hadn't seen much of either model for years which was part of the appeal, but now I own one every other car seems to be a bloody freelander! They have far from disappeared but maybe just don't stand out much these days. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
