To be honest I'd take a challenger over the all of those listed up there, wouldn't want an accident in one though eek

Mustang doesn't look that great an option to have an accident in either from this.....

I've had my modified C6 Z06 over 4 years and it is awsome.
I've also driven the ZR1 at Goodwood ( all 640bhp of it ) and it felt like a pusycat in comparison to the Z06.
This is a very tough choice I've been debating for a few months. You can get a c6 z06 for as little as $30k. I have been trying to find a 2008 and above in either yellow or red.

A whole lot of performance for the money.

One that's slid right under the radar is another one of those great option packs the Americans are so fond of; the Camaro SS with the 1LE package. It looks fantastic in blue and gets rave reviews amongst the few that have driven it:

The wheels fit perfectly and set it off so well

$42000 after discounts is very tempting...

Yeah prices on those have risen drastically in the last year or so. Shame as I wanted to pick up a bargain.

If the Mustang had another £5k spent on some decent interior trim and sorting out the exterior panel gaps, then I'd have one in a shot. As it is, it's compromised car.
So you want to turn it from a well-priced performance bargain in to....just every other premium sports coupe/gt?
No. On a par with Ford Europe would be a good step forward.

IS the GT350 (R) coming to the UK anytime soon or do you have to go aftermarket for add ons to the 5.0 v8?

It's an entirely different engine in the GT350.

I am sure you can find all the other suspension and aero goodies to stick on to the regular GT.

Ford don't have to, they don't need to worry about what someone who played it safe with thinks, mainly because they are launching the GT40 this year so have the uber car category covered wink In the meantime they will continue serving up the same formula that has worked for many years. It's a shame so many either don't get it, or slate them with no real knowledge of what they are talking about.

Had a sit in a new Mustang last week. The interior was genuinely nice, didn't feel cheap at all.

That mustang looks like it was inspired by an early 70s Plymouth Roadrunner.

Plenty of aftermarket parts for the coyote to out perform the voodoo engine, you just won't have that flat plane crank.

I looked at a metallic orange one for $29995. I think the mileage was around 90k.

It looked like transmission fluid was leaking on the right side.

The new 1le will smoke the 5th gen z28 which will smoke a Nissan GTR.

I'm sure the new zl1 is the quickest of all of the current muscle cars. The interior is perfect, I'd take one over a gt350r.

Took the f150 to get some BBQ tonight. Tomorrow we're going fishing doing man stuff, I'll take some pics of the interior.

I know for a fact the one I hired in Seattle last year with 17k miles on it was rattling and falling apart inside, and not through being a neglected hire car.

When you say " on par" do you mean, dull boring and characterless?
No, just the quality level.

I'd live with it over a euro yawn fridge, any day of the week
I never said European Fords were interesting. But I do think the overall quality is much better than the American couterparts.

I've been in and owned European ford and U.S. fords. In my experience the build quality is as good if not better than Euro fords.

This is not Mexico my friend, not yet anyway.

You should sit in Mexican made VWs and German made. Or take a look on craigslist and look up 15 year old VWs and look how they have faired.

The Mexican abarth 500 is the same.

The challenge is, they are built to a price point primarily for a market with a different set of priorities.
Options are to either put the price up or compromise somewhere.

Personal preference, I'd much rather have a sod off big engine than a nice touch interior.
Like I said. Increase the price a few thousand, spend it on the interior, and hey presto, a whole new set of buyers are found. Sure you can keep the current interior for the Subaru clan, but why limit your audience?

I know they are not Mexican. They are from Detroit, and the interior is crap.
