New car painted wrong colour

When the thread opened up 5-6 days ago I was certainly in the "What a Nightmare" thing to happen way of thinking.

It really is nice to read that in such short time both AM and the people OP mentioned have turned the nightmare into a somewhat happy compromise.

Not a lover of silver cars myself,but this really isn't exactly what I would class as a "Silver" car (It looks Fantastic)

I think the spoiler is all about context, frankly on a standard AM then it would look odd and out of place, but that is not what your car is about.

for what its worth I 100% agree with you that this is a special car, and the spoiler looks great within that context.

In fairness, at least you have avoided garish colours and highlights I've seen elsewhere. To me it could perhaps have been better integrated into the overall design. However, what I think matters not one jot - it's all about you and your car.

The important thing is that you now have it and you are happy.

Sorry no real updates. Car is ready for collection but can't collect for a few weeks yet as i want it registered in March.

AM are now saying that there was a misunderstanding on deal they offered so are backtracking. I'll keep you updated on that.

So it looks like i'll be taking AM to court. They originally offered something. They did a u turn and then only offered part of the deal. They have now totally reneged on the offer made. See you in court!

OP looses out on the car and interest on the monies, Aston Martin keep the car and sell it on for a profit due to it being in high demand. Aston Martin win, op loses out.

OP sells the car, makes some money, but needs to join back of the queue for another "dream car". Aston Martin get away Scott free, op looses out.

OP gets screwed either way, through no fault of his own. Aston Martin shrugg and give zero sts.

Very disappointing of Aston Martin.

Have you contacted Dr palmer again? Has he had a chance too explain /try and make it right *again*?
