Well the situation was long since resolved.

Hardly worth getting upset about after all this time.

I am sure you have more pressing things to be upset about.
Everyone's entitled to an opinion. It wasn't even the OPs situation i had issue with, it was someone describing it as 'unenviable'.
Let Go and move on.

given that you were placed in, frankly, a very unenviable position.
Oh no, my 165K car is a different colour than i ordered. Shall i flip it for a load more cash, accept it and sit on it for a bit before selling for even more or reject it and keep my 165K. Hmmm.

Absolute first world problems. There are many more unenviable positions i think people could be in.
Of course it's a first world problem, but in the specific context of the situation and the thread, as opposed to the wider world generally, then yes op placed in a position many wouldn't like to find themselves.

Now in true PH style you've clumped into a thread out of nowhere with size 12 boots and had a pop. Be on your way champ.

Ironically they tend to have a very thin skin.

You had to trawl back through 3 months of forum threads and find one started six months ago to be offended by someone elses success in life?

I agree. I don't see why Henno would come and start making pops and digs.

Only just found this thread yesterday and to say I'm slightly disappointed that i trawled through 39 pages in hope of seeing a happy OP with his new car and some shiny pictures is an understatement!

But on a happier note I'm glad you came to a conclusion that you were happy with and hope the purchase of the new replacement will be an infinitely better experience for you.

Bettered only by the SASC whose level of pedantry and singular look on life is truly stellar.

Even better is his story about chasing down some kids, making one lose his trousers, because the threw some sweets at his limited edition high performance motor on the road rage thread.

1. Didn't know they were sweets at the time, thought they were stones to be honest. Also one of them was swinging a metal scooter about so god knows what i thought it was.
2. My 'limited edition high performance motor' was the newest car I've ever owned, so for it to happen the night i bought it was annoying.

Just imagine how annoying it would be to not get the car you wanted after ordering it and then have some pissant with a chip on their shoulder on a forum dig up a thread from 3 months ago.

No all his vehicles are limited edition, after all his is the only one with that VIN and reg number, hopefully. So unique, really, doesn't that beat limited edition top trumps?
