Outstanding work gents, outstanding!

My earliest memory of a BRAT was a beige one my old man had on a farm when I was about 7 (I think) I remember it smelling like sheep dip and pipe tobacco and having the ability to never ever get stuck. We also had the estate version, christ knows what it was... an old W reg I think, as in the first time round. Think that's what sparked interest in Subarus, loved the first generation Legacy Turbo... but yet never owned any.

That would be the Leone.

I have always wanted a Brumby (Australian name for the brat). They seem like the perfect tool to have lying about for odd jobs and collecting parts.
Sort of like a really awesome wheel barrow.

I learnt to drive on one of these (minus the bullbar). Same colour. Same decals.

Such solid nuggets of cars.

I had one back in the day was only about 5 years old and needed welding so god knows how one has survived in our climate into the 2ist century ,
I would love to have another cracking little truck

What a great story!

I had the pleasure of going to buy a second hand subaru from Aberdeen. It was a short plane ride up there from East London Airport and it started snowing hard when I arrived, so I knew I would be driving home. 8hrs 45mins though snow and rain to get back in my new forester, brutal.

The Subaru MV is a great little car. I imagine WRX running gear and engine would be a lot of fun too, but its a big job.

Thanks for all your interest and compliments guys. It's an interesting little car, that's for sure. It has also turned my Friday into a bizarre day. I was interviewed by BBC radio at lunchtime and, now, I'm off home to go and organise the tuck to be parked-up so that Sky News can interview me.

4.30 this afternoon on your tellybox, apparently.

Amused to have just seen you and the story on Sky News. Makes a change from Trump and Brexit...

What a marvelous tool. But enough about Findlay.

The BRAT (Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter) is quite a thing. Here it is visiting the concrete cows in Milton Keynes (with the Recreational Activity Vehicle 4WD):

I had no idea what those acronyms stood for - thanks for enlightening me!

Epic trip with such a cool car. Good luck and enjoy the BRAT.

Findlay, this is a great little write up and much fun with the genuine relay driver's delivery.

All, if anyone knows of a Brat for sale could you pm me, thank you.
