What was the best/most memorable car you owned?

Difficult to say but probably my first MR2 MK1 T-Bar. I got her at 18 years old and it felt like I had a Ferrari she was quite nippy and impressively grippy with it. Then driving at night looking at the stars through the glass panels or taking them out for a top down potter about. I did over 400 miles the weekend I got her, with the roof off and windows down. Cost me three days of very, very, very sore ears that did !!
The current 5.0 Chimaera is pretty tasty too mind - a car we will never sell.

Difficult choice, I had a £300 Vauxhall Carlton GSI 3000 in the early 2000's. Because of it's lack of value, decent handling and it's road presence meant that it was huge fun.
I also had an integrale 16v in the late 90's and the handling was the most confidence inspiring that I have ever felt, I could skim the tread of the nearside rear tyre off a kerb exiting a roundabout, such was the accuracy of it's road positioning.
The most fun though, was a genuine 350bhp rear wheel drive Sapphire Cosworth that was completely standard looking, it would easily spin up in 3rd in the dry. One afternoon it spun up in 2nd and as a result one guy threw his wife into a hedge! No idea why, maybe he didn't like her very much.

My current, a 325ti. Is it mega quick? No, a 2.0TDI will give it a good scaring, but the noise, reliability and the memories of the 25k I've done in it the year I've had it are excellent. The best way to drive around country lanes during summer is rear pop out windows and sunroof open.

My 200SX that I had when I was 22, I had no money, spunked everything I had on buying it/fixing it/modifying it and running it then lost a fortune when I sold it
I loved it though, it almost killed me a lot but I remember the good times over all the very bad (and expensive) times!
Always liked those, they do appear to be rather troublesome.I loved it though, it almost killed me a lot but I remember the good times over all the very bad (and expensive) times!
My first TVR (S3) when I was early 20's. Loads of character and my first non-mainstream sports car. The noise was great and always made me feel special. Bits falling off made me learn how to fix stuff. Joined PH and made a load of mates who remain friends to this day. First attended a few runs, first time I went for a drive just to go for a drive. Took it to Le Mans, took it around Europe and many, many memorable trips. Flawed in many ways but the flaws made me love it even more. Drove in all weathers as a daily car and at a point in my life where all was coming together. Happy days.
