Caterham Cars have built 60 new Retro Sprint models to,celebrate the 60 years of Caterham.

Some of the cars started on the production line today, and CC shared this picture of one of them in a great retro yelllow colour scheme.

I used to have a Mercedes W124 in 'Bornite' - a rather strange purple/brown, like this one:

Wish I still had itsmile
Still got mine 280E, wasn't sure about the colour at the time but love it now:

There was a tricked out Impreza on the selling car bit a while back in Lamborghini Grigio Telesto.

Never thought I'd love a grey car!

Amazing the difference strong sunlight makes to paintwork. Even in urban Northern England.

Very few of the modern blacks seem to be black, they are more a semi-metallic dark grey in comparison to my old Sierra's Ford Black, which when polished is almost liquid. The recession white / resale silver problem Makes it so frustrating when you are trying to buy a new (second hand) car that is only a few years old frown

Love the brown Merc. Not my pic but in a similar way this looks great too.

Whilst we all decry the silver/ grey/ black brigade, especially I find with modern Porsches, even I would say that is a bold choice with depreciation/ eventual sale in mind!

I had an E46 compact a few years back in "Ambra" which was an orange/bronze mix.

You could argue someone knocked two paint tins over in the factory to create it.
Definitely a marmite colour (I liked it) and you could never argue it was boring.

I tried for over a year to buy an Intelagos Blue E90 M3 4-door (missed out on one by a day)
I've since relented and just bought an Estoril m135i which although a common colour still looks nice
These days.

Loved my LeMans Blue 325.

We also have a Tahiti Giallo 500f.

We don't do boring shades in this house smile

And lastly, how about a lovely Healey, taken on a summers day in Cornwall.

Great. Thank you. 40 years ago I used to see Jarama in that colour and loved it.
