Yesterday's colours: best colour on a car

BMW Have always done some lovely colours in their 'Individual' colour palette. This is Techno Violet on my station-rat.

I've always been drawn to the more diverse colours although had to settle on a modernish Porsche colour (Iris Blue) with my 70's classic. Have always rather fancied spraying it something lurid come restoration-time!!

Two glaring omissions if you ask me - some call them garish, I call them... bold.

I'm not telling you anything Tuvra, I just like the colours! Looking up and down the road outside my house I see a dull vista of grey, silver, black, more grey and yet more silver... the only exception being my own metallic red Alfa and a neighbour's '50s Ford Pop in hearing aid beige. I like a bit of colour!

Personally I like the Bora in Bleu Ischia as I think it really compliments the stainless steel roof etc.,.. and blue is a sort of traditional Maserati colour. Of course I am biased!!!!

The colour palette for the Mk1 Mini wasn't very broad but had some nice shades to choose from, I've always been partial to Surf Blue and Fiesta Yellow...
