The 993 launch colour BTW.It was the 1995, 993 Twin Turbo Launch Colour. Looks very rich and classy in good light, grey days don't favour it, the the sun picks up the pearl in the paint. Porsche have used quite a few subtle/trick pearlescent colours like the Viola 996 posted earlier, which rely on the sun or bright showroom lights to get the best from.

Looking up and down the road outside my house I see a dull vista of grey, silver, black, more grey and yet more silver... the only exception being my own metallic red Alfa and a neighbour's '50s Ford Pop in hearing aid beige. Colours like mustard yellow, washed out green and brown? Williamp mentioned silver birch earlier, Rover's version was somewhat different to Aston Martin's, it's more of a pearl grey...

I saw one on the road near me on New Year's Day. It had real presence with two tone paintwork.
