I have a Kyosho 1:18 of (almost) your car in the cabinet - fantastic colour!

But then I love Deep Purple...
Yeh I know you get models in the colour but they go for daft money now a days. The colour in real life though looks different colour every time you look at it

Well it takes allsorts, just ask Bertie Bassett... hehe

Williamp mentioned silver birch earlier, Rover's version was somewhat different to Aston Martin's, it's more of a pearl grey...

This colour still looks good forty odd years later...

That Rover is stunning.

I saw one on the road near me on New Year's Day. It had real presence with two tone paintwork.
I nearly bought it but hesitated and missed out on it. The Burnt Grey over Silver Birch combo is my favourite on P5Bs, although most folk would probably agree that the darker colours suit the shape much better. Still yearning for another!

Arden Green always looked good on P5s. if a little dark and sober...

Friend use to have this:

Aunty had this:

dad drove one like this:

and the modern love for baby blues only reminds me of these:

EVEN after those....I prefer them to resale silver and the 'variations of' that dominate our car parks.....making it all the more contrary that my other car is silver boxedin

I like that!

This must have seemed a touch 'flash Harry' back in 1965...

My disparate pair from a few years ago. Mariner Blue mk1 MX5, and a brush painted NATO Green Suzuki Samurai.

Loved them both, for very similar reasons.

Loved the Midnight Blue on my old 350Z, totally black apart from where bright light reflected off it. It's hard to photograph, so this is the best image I could (bother to) find online:

That midnight purple Skyline is stunning.

I wish I could put mine forward.... A boring grey.

Not!

But I can't submit this as it wasn't a TVR colour.

Therefore it has to be Reflex Charcoal

Another gratuitous '70s green (bucket available on request if you don't share the same affliction), not sure what the Jaguar name for it was but it looks close to Rover's Avocado green, for me the Kent alloys and contrasting vinyl roof are the icing on the cake...

Even allowing for the NEC's dubious lighting this is still quite an eyeful...

I could live with this...

Zanzibar Red. Tranforms from a terracotta orange to pearlescing yellow in the sun. Trouble is it is therefore very difficult to capture in a picture. smile

Also, has Alien Green been mentioned? Very rare and very nice!

I've just ordered one of these in this gorgeous emerald green. Anything resembling BRG is good.

I'm defiantly in the Dakar yellow club as I'm sure most know... this one isn't Dakar as it's now been replaced with Speed yellow very similar just slightly darker and strangely not a factory option on the 1M..? nerd

That is stunning (as is the green Maserati Ghibli). Wonderful deep lustrous colour, and do I see a hint of classic tan leather inside?

Lovely to see so much love of coloured cars. I'm in heaven reading this thread.

Horizon blue. Proof that the invalid carriages were actually painted a nice colour.

Ah, a thread about colour smile I really can't stand the sea of silver, grey, black and white cars anymore.
Nissans wonderful Midnight Purple 3 was already mentioned, so i will throw in BMWs Java Green on a 1M:
