Have we had Nissan's 'chromaflair' yet

Saw a Micra in it at the motorshow back in the day, but always wanted a Primera GT in chromaflair. Never had one, and would probably always regret having one, as the paint would be impossible to match if you scratched it.

May not be a car and may not be a colour of yesteryear (like many of the ones posted) but I think my Aprilia is a pretty awesome colour.

Yeh I know you get models in the colour but they go for daft money now a days. The colour in real life though looks different colour every time you look at it
Oh wow. WOW.

I agree with the OP, it's a shame you don't see so many interesting colours around but most manufacturers probably don't offer them! My Fiesta is Candy Blue and I thought that was the pick of the range. I've told myself that every time I change my car I'm going to try and get the most interesting colour I can, Riviera Blue, TdF Bue, Merlin Purple and Ocellus Teal are my favourites at the moment.

My lapis blue Subaru STI. Originally had a World Rally Blue car ordered, but would have taken a lot longer to arrive. This became available and I jumped at the chance. I'm very happy with the colour especially in direct sunlight as it has some indigo overtones.

My car next to a Hyperblue STI. I'm rather curious how close to the Nitrous Blue Focus RS this colour is but haven't ever seen them together.

For a while there was a Primera GT around my way with the Chromaflair paint job, did look good (I've always loved this kind of paint job on TVR's, the designs certainly wear them well), but as you say scratch it and matching it would be an eye watering task.

I have to say I've got the urge when I replace the Alfa with an XK it'll be a bog standard silver XK and just get it wrapped in a nicer more interesting hue (this from a person who isn't a huge fan of wraps).

It helps that it is a really good looking car t begin with. Not that I'm biased at all!

I think reflex purple suited my Tuscan, but reflex type colours seem a bit dated now

There's an ongoing restoration thread for one of these. I think he's even repainting it green, but not this shade.

Very lucky spot Dinkel, they only built eight RHD coupes, one of them lives not far from me.

Verde metallico rings a bell for the green one.

Yellow Ghibli: Goodwood Brekkie a zillion years ago.

On the Alfa theme:

Love mustard on a 105 Coupe. #Ring

Yellow Spider no problemo.

Ouch, Montreal.

DP214 Aston in that particular green. Epic, just epic.

Giallo Ochre on that Alfa coupe is beautiful!

This gorgeous Montreal is fairly local to me, one of the 104 RHD cars, it happened to be in the workshop where my Cooper S was being restored...

'Silver Birch over Zircon Blue' on this P5B Coupe, a classy combo from Solihull, I nearly bought this one but bottled it and bought the Almond Yellow P6 instead...

'Silver Birch over Admiralty Blue' was more common...
