Same one at the NEC in 2012, my mate and I couldn't take our eyes off it...

Your mate liked the colour scheme so much that he bought the shoes to match

He's still saving up his Green Shield Stamps to buy a Ghibli to match 'em!

Dinkel - love the muscle car shot you posted earlier, brightened up my day no end, that beer

One of the lads at work has a custard yellow Camaro, I'll try and bag a photo sometime.

No, definitely crystal blue. I have owned the car from new, March 1989

Ford crystal blue (metallic). Although I may be a bit biased.
That looks like Paris blue to me. I loved that colour but it was discontinued in 1987 when I bought a new XR2 so had to settle for mercury grey!

I quite like Imola Red! laugh (The Compact is mine, the Touring belongs to a relative).

Quite like Montego Blue given that it is another rarity, as in a 21st Century BMW colour with no white, silver, grey or black content!

And I love Valencia Orange - probably for the same reason!

I love Valencia - had a 1-series in it. Looked superb when it was clean and the sun was out.

Really wanted a bright colour on my 5-series, but all the standard choices are very dull. Ended up with Mediterranean Blue. But I'd have loved Melbourne Red, Estoril Blue, even Valencia!

VW do a really nice brown on the CC - 'dark oak brown'. Best part is you can have it was a black / Caramac colour interior. Shame they're so dated (still look good, but the tech. is miles off the pace) these days,or I'd have been tempted.

Always been a fan of the BMW M5 in Interlagos Blue since they came out.... so I bought one. The one below is not mine, but the best example of the colour I have seen.

My three current cars are metallic red, dark metallic purple and metallic British racing green.
Many thanks for those gems!

Just reminds me what a terrible colour palette BL offered in the 70s! XJ6 in Lavender anyone? laugh

The P6 Rovers caught my eye though - duck-poo green then Tobacco Leaf - mainly because I had a 3500S in Mexico Brown back in the day! I did look at a Monza Red one, but someone had fitted a small Motalita steering wheel and with a V8 up front and no PAS you could barely change direction at less than 20 mph!

My cousin had a P6 3500 in Cameroon Green at the time, which was one of the better options.

I still have nightmares about Teal Blue Marinas with green interiors and purple ones with red trim - what were they thinking? laugh

From a photo, rather than a digital pic.

Cars were built in the late 70's.

My last P6B was Monza Red with a black leather interior, it looked the business with its 'Captain Scarlet' 3500S wheel trims, it had a 14" Mountney steering wheel and PAS which made it a great drive, even for an auto. The one before that was Cameron Green with buckskin leather interior and looked like an old man's car in comparison with the full boot mounted spare kit!

The Teal Blue / green interior was also used on the Mk3 Cooper S, Mini 850 / 1000 and 1275GT, there aren't many around in that colour today. One of the old boys who worked in our local motor factor had a beautiful early 1275GT in purple with red side stripes and red interior, he'd swapped the standard Rostyles for a set of Wolfrace 5''x10''s and it looked a real gem.

The very last P6B to come off the line at Solihull was an Avocado 3500S, it was at Gaydon for many years but now belongs to a guy in the P6 Club...

Whilst we all decry the silver/ grey/ black brigade, especially I find with modern Porsches, even I would say that is a bold choice with depreciation/ eventual sale in mind!
I suspect I have little or no chance of recouping any of the ridiculous paint to sample price that Porsche charges !

As for the rest of the car though residuals are rock solid and I don't see the colour dragging it down.

Either way though I intend to hold on to it for a good while yet as I find it a really good all rounder and the yellowness is an added bonus smile
