Mine arrived yesterday too Rich, cheers! clap

Also loving the 1985 Autosport wrapping, now trying to decide which flameproof SPARCO race suit to buy (as modelled by a young Ricardo Patrese) and others hehe

I recently attended a meeting at the British Embassy in Brussels and really wanted to arrive in an Ambassador, but I don't think there are any left. Maybe for the best.
They still exist in captivity, cared for by a underground group of illicit beige motoring fans.

Mine arrived at the weekend. Loved the old autosport wrapping. I take it it was fluke I got the article about Vatanen in the 205T16 (my boyhood hero and favourite car ever).

Looking forward to getting stuck in over the long weekend. Thanks.

Go to the Amazon website and type the title of the book (as per the thread title), click the 'buy' button.

Fair enough. Wasn't sure if that was the book title or not.

What flavour of scabby old Bentley? I bet I could make one less broken, if not definitively fixed.

That was great, many a chuckle at the situations you'd got yourself into and I like the fact the trips are with a purpose - old GP circuits or highest roads/passes, with a smattering of aggravating the locals a little!

Roll on the next book... not sure if I have the right level of expertise to help, but I fixed the mower and will be fixing some of the many broken things on our Alfa this weekend, so how hard can an old Bentley be...? Plenty of space for tools anyway; and I even know that Monty Python song about Finland so that's got to help with a complete lack of any Finnish!

I think I could help you: I am German, I have three english cars which all run perfect, and I've been to Helsinki in the past...I hope this is enough for qualification ?

ETA - Kindle version now live on Amazon, too.
Bought my kindle version couple of days ago, going really well! - fortunately I have a Fire so the pics come up in colour. Really good, makes me want to follow some of your routes. - My latest hire car was a smart 4four, not recommended..

Got home from work, mine was unwrapped on the counter.

"Where is the packaging?",
"oh it was just some old bits of paper so I recycled it."
"!"

Having a few chortles, and halfway through it now. Must buy the other books now smile
