You forgot :

Est-ce que cette note de 20 euros est à vous, officier?

Is this 20 euro note on the floor yours, Officer?

I used Google, sorry but my French is crap.

Some small print here; It should be pointed out that the Author is a) not very good at foreign languages and b) an idiot.
I think it is funnier with Franglais.

One thought: the greatest tale/legend/story about rental cars is the Hertz Mustangs in the 60s. Borrowed on friday and returned on Monday with a range of oddities including lower spec engines, armco damage etc.

Can you research and find ut is there any trust in the tales at all? Did people borrow them to race and return them on the monday? Any images of them in action?

In '66 they made a Hertz special "GT350H" which was a Shelby GT350 but made for Hertz rental. There have many stories told by Hertz employees themselves including reports of customers renting for a weekend, fitting the GT350 engine to their own race car and then putting it back in. I cant really find any 'confirmation' of this however the fact that Hertz themselves have said it happened is probably about as good as it is going to get.

Jay Leno features one in his youtube show which features some interesting stories.

I also don’t doubt that, had we obeyed his instructions, this very British stunt would never have happened.

Cue music.

Hammering a rental car is 'council' behaviour...yet you would all be complaint should a dealer mechanic do anything above the speed limit in your own car.

I've got a title - stop behaving like chavs and respect others property as if it was your own.
