It's pretty simple. Some junctions are confusing but this isn't. As I'd sure 99% of people would agree, you'd have to be a complete moron to stop there.
Would I have accelerated through an amber light? No.

I wouldn't stop where the the mini did. I wouldn't go through on amber like the camera car did. If lane 1 is clear and the ds had a faster vehicle behind the HWC makes it clear that the ds should move across. It's not bloody hard. I honestly dont get how people cant tell the difference between those that are genuinely lost or just need to get on with their day and those that are absolute wkers.Now I hate busses as much as the next person but I also understand that they dont have lightning acceleration and cant wait there all day, sometimes they just need to pull out, same for lorries. Its pointless beeping them, you just look like a tt. Similarly with a van, if you dont have a passenger with you its almost impossible to see what is coming from the left if the view is behind you, so you pull out gingerly hoping someone will cut you some slack, alas its usually a self obsessed wker you meet.

However, had it just stayed in L2 behind the van then it still would not have been "occupying the same physical space"
Bit of an idiot move from this BMW driver, though we can't see behind to see how close he was and how clear his intentions to pass were when the camera car driver decided to go straight out to the outside lane.

I was stuck behind some a few weeks back who stopped at a repeater light for no fking reason! Didn't crash into the back of them like matey did though. We sat there for a complete multi junction cycle of light changes. And of course we were blocking a lighted exit from a car park because they were thick!
