but what i would say happened is that the fiesta had been building up speed since 1984 and when the lorry pulled out to overtake the fiesta lost about 2 decades worth of speed. so when the lorry pulled back in he decided to try and repay the favour to the lorry and try and prove that 1980s crumple zones (i.e. the whole car) are highly ineffective haha

t myself if that was me, in fact passes like that are part of why I gave up cycling to work when I lived in Norfolk. Cyclists bring a lot upon themselves but that sort of stuff is so unnecessary and all it takes is one slight wobble at the wrong moment and you're dead.

I know the stretch of road extremely well, and it is a very wide road, which does lead to many cars daily carrying out similar moves as shown here. One thing that I noticed in the video, is it appears that the Insignia speeds up when the Mondeo overtakes. It wasn't a very clever overtake by the Mondeo, however the Insignia is so far over, almost inviting the overtake, yet they then proceed to speed up.
The Mondeo driver was found guilty of causing death by careless driving and given 12 months inside, after pleading not guilty.

Agreed, not the cleverest of moves but I think the driver of the Insignia was complicit.
