Pretty poor road positioning by the biker though. She should have been much closer to the centre line and that would have given both parties more chance of seeing each other earlier.

To be fair, I'd have been looking to make an overtake myself but it's not exactly safe because of the hills, after the first beep there was a blind crest, on the second beep a car appeared pretty soon after.

Once those vehicles had cleared I'd have gone for it. Van shouldn't be beeping though.

Whereas advocating hitting a cyclist with a wing mirror and smashing someone's windscreen because they blocked a cycle lane is the mark of a mature, sensible adult isn't it, along with being upset because someone called you an eejit?
