Not my video, seems to be an active YouTuber hence subscribed for now.

I did think that the bus driver deliberately went in the right exit lane to skip some traffic at the end and knew that he had to take the first exit anyway (last bit of the clip). Don't know where you live but I don't see 10 tonne double-decker buses pull that kind of manoeuvre off on a 'day to day' basis.

Yes driver did accelerate harshly round bus - two wrongs don't make a right. Still think the bus driver was more sh*t at driving.

Really? I read the merge sign as showing both lanes are applicable for the junction, however I always choose right (and check very carefully who is in the other lane).

The Merge sign is a bit confusing but appears to mean the lanes merge on the roundabout/at the exit. All adds up to anybody having to expect to work with the cars in the other lane to use the junction safely.

To be fair it could be interpreted either way.
As far as the highway code is concerned you use the left hand lane for all exits except right unless otherwise marked on the ground, which it isn't. Also the 3rd exit is the continuation of the A303, so I treat that as straight over, which in this case is about 1 o'clock, which again is normally entered from the left lane unless otherwise marked. I therefore use the left lane on that roundabout unless there is something slower moving already in it, at which time I will nip round in lane 2, but only if there is enough time to do it and get off without cutting up whatever is in lane 1.
Really there should be a short merge section there which is what causes the confusion.

Anytime I'm heading south west I take the A303 as the M4/M5 bores me to death.

That roundabout I personally take in the LH lane for that exit but I have jumped traffic by going in the RH, bearing in mind to keep an eye on my left hand side.
