Other drivers were lucky the ladder didn't come off completely. That sort of retarded driving by the van driver should result in a lengthy ban and vehicle crushed imho.imdeman87 said:

I've been back a few pages and couldn't see it, but have we had the Z4 causing the pile up on motorway, pulls out into traffic off slip road traffic (description hopefully saves people rewatching)

stopping because an old man is stood on the pavement doesn't work, spotting a car pulling out of a turning that you are going to pull into is not confusing - it benefits both drivers.
See my previous post.It benefits both drivers IF the driver pulling out is 1. paying attention, and 2. prepared to take the risk, because ultimately that's what it is, that they've interpreted your headlight flash/hand wave as a signal that you're letting them out.
I do enough miles to know the majority of drivers don't pull out when you let them. Quicker and easier not to bother.

Many times I've tried to let someone out and they just sit there with thumb up backside, oblivious to the world around them.It benefits both drivers IF the driver pulling out is 1. paying attention, and 2. prepared to take the risk, because ultimately that's what it is, that they've interpreted your headlight flash/hand wave as a signal that you're letting them out.
