Last night someone broke into our house, took the keys and stole my Audi S1. We live in Guilsborough Northamptonshire, but the car was seen by ANPR at 12:11am in Earl Shilton, which is approximately 30 minutes away on the back roads. Given that no cameras on the M1 saw it, I suspect they used the back roads.

It is dark grey with a silver roof. If anyone is local and sees it please post on here.

Here is a picture, although it has different wheels now.

That's bad news!

Don't hear of many S1's being stolen, its usually the S3 and RS models.

Gutted mate, our neighbours have a blue one and it's a nice motor. Hope insurance / recovery goes OK.

Thanks.

The car was seen again last night, this time in Ibstock having its rear number plate ripped off. I'm guessing they intend to put fake plates on it.

Where exactly was it seen? I don't live too far from Guilsborough so I'll keep an eye out for an S1 around the area. Any other distinguishing features?

All the police told me is it was seen in Ibstock, they didn't say where.

I haven't seen another one in grey with a silver roof. It also has a panoramic roof, supersport seats, flat bottom steering wheel, alloy gear stick and various other switches, and keyless entry.

They seem to be getting further away from you and me but I'll still keep my eyes peeled.

That's a reasonably rare colour combination, so hopefully someone will spot it. For extra assistance, in case anyone does see it..

Super Sport Seats look like this, and are a rare option:

How gutting.

Probably being driven around and will be stripped for parts or attempted export.

I hope you get it back but I would presume not.
Horrible to have happen frown

To be honest I'm not sure I want it back, but I'd love for the scrotes to get caught.

If it does get stripped for parts, it'll be worth looking out for some of the more unique items like the super sport seats. In fact, there won't be many used S1 parts on the market at the moment.

Good luck OP, whatever the outcome.

Understandable, and what a shtty thing to happen - please accept my sincere sympathies.

Just a thought but would folks consider fitting mortice locks to internal doors, including bedrooms?

Then fit a dog somewhere, and security is looking better possibly...

A bit of an update - on Thursday I received a call from the police informing me there is a dormant tracker on the vehicle. They asked me to get it enabled, which I did, and I have just received a call to say the police are with it now. No idea of the condition yet, but I really hope it leads them to the thieving gits.

Did you not know it had a tracker? How did you get it enabled?

Just wondering how the Police knew this was the case and you didn't think to use it in any way.
