Of course he's not! It IS beautiful - not the most beautiful, maybe, but beautiful most certainly.

As is this

and the original TT with no spoiler

The problem for me about the original TT shape (pre-spoiler) is that I'm so used to seeing them with spoilers now that just the empty curve is like looking at a supermodel without a nose, or a Golden Retriever without a tail. Just seems off and empty now.

I understand that and have to careful not to agree. But I remember the spoiler appearing and thinking that it lived up to its name!
I used to laugh at the Ford Scorpio, especially the saloon, and the first Ka, but now they seen almost attractive. Well maybe not the rear of the Scorpio, that was awful.

The old Renault Fuego was thought beautiful once, but now it looks quite conservative.

For a mainstream car, I seem to remember that the curved roofline of the c5 Audi A6 / b5 VW Passat saloons caused a bit of swooning back when they were launched.

I love this car from every angle, the roof is as sublime as every other line on it.

Doesn't have to be a prestige marque either!

I don't think there's a wrong line on the C5 Avant. The swollen arches on the pokey versions detract from the cleaness of lines in my opinion.

I'll stick my neck out and put the GTR up, as I always like the side profile roof line

I've often been tempted to post a side on photo of a GTR on the 'Things That Make Your Teeth Itch' thread! laugh

When BMW sold off the Rover group they kept hold of the Triumph name. Every 5-10 years there is rumours of a new Triumph that always comes to nothing. Can't see BMW wanting to as any new car would be in direct competition with its current line of models, e.g. A new TR would compete with their own Z range.
