Yes, how many overnighters do you do? Those are the best, drive Friday. Beers, sleep ride all day then back home for Sat night.
I don't do overnighters.I can see why some do, it sounds great. But, I do not drink alcohol, stopped over 8 years ago and became a health freak. I don't even drink tea / coffee, only water. The last 8 years have been a mixture of Wing Chun, Weights, & Mountain Biking.
Dalby Forest is my favourite, but I do like Gisburn, Cannock Chase, Sherwood Pines, not so much Thetford Forest. An overnighter would be good to do Bike Park Wales though !
I've promised myself more overnighters as waking up and facing a 2hour drive half asleep puts me off. So this year is northern Lakes, BPW and more of Scotland.
There are some fantastic trails further across Yorkshire- the urban/rural trails of Calderdale/Hebden Bridge- I'll never tire of those. Plus it's 30mins off the M62.
You can reach the Peaks too? Definitely recommend there. It's all good though.
