Seem alright to me, suffer a bit in low temps with grip dropping off but only noticeable when you're pushing on a bit.

The S is only available in 19 and 20 inch I believe and as soon as the Pirelli's on my GTS are done I will be replacing them with the S.
Me too! Proper posh NO versions 'Coming Soon' no less smile

Although, I'm going to need front sooner than rears. I might need to think of a way to accelerate the rear wear rate smile

im very pleased with mine. much better than my previous goodyear eagle asymmetric 2s, and i thought they were good
I went the other way on a previous car and the asymmetric 2 was better. The problem is you can't compare a worn decent tyre to a new one. It will always seem better when you change.

Are you sure...the PS4 has only been available for about six months.

More like a year but you are right it was the PS3. However a worn tyre is completely different to a new one. You really can't compare them. The tyre degradation is so gradual over time when you do get a new set it feels like a huge improvement.

Is there not a 4 S version of this tyre due out in the next 2-3 weeks?

How is the mileage/wear rate behaving on your PS4's?

I'm not putting down loads of BHP comparatively in my Leon FR but I would like to have a really good tyre when the ones it came with need replacing. Currently I have Dunlop Fast Response on the front axle which I've never been a fan of, but they steer really well. I'd normally go for an Eagle F1, and tend to get between 20-30k out of these front tires with how I drive.

I wonder if the PS4 will be a good choice to up the driving experience or if ultimately it will cost me in longevity?

I changed my fronts to PS4 in April 2019, they are just about on the wear markers.

Without digging out the fitting receipt with mileage on it I would guess they have done about 12-13k miles.

That on a ~310bhp GTI. Happy with that to be honest as I usually get 10-12k out of fronts.

I put Pilot Sport 4S's on the rear of my M2 18 months ago. Done 10,000 miles since and still got about 5mm tread. Maybe I'm not driving it properly or maybe they are just superb tyres. I won't buy anything else now!

Just put 4 on my A250 couple of weeks ago. Had Dunlop Sport Maxx on before and the ride quality is night and day (PS4 so much more compliant - it genuinely feels like I have new suspension).

Haven't even attempted any spirited driving due to temps as they're a summer tyre after all. Got about 13,000 miles out of Dunlops (fronts) so my thinking is they can't wear any worse than that.

PS4S were standard on my Focus ST, there is so much grip that I'm likely to remap it this year for more power. They've been so good in all conditions so far I will always fit them, I'm guessing PS4's must be almost as good.

Personally not a fan of the PS4s; found they get hard with wear (once the sticky first few mm wear off) and they tend to drone, a lot

Each to their own, very personal choice are tyres; but I much prefer the likes of the Eagle F1s and Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's over the PS4s etc

If you do go for them go onto Michelin's website to get prices.

They were the cheapest for me recently.

It then redirects you to a local company for fitting, but at the cheap price Michelin quoted.

Only snag if you're really picky, the date stamp on mine was 0820 which is week 8 of 2020

So my new tyres were actually 10 months old.

Someone in the know will probably says that's normal, and it didn't bother me, but that's the oldest "new" tyre I think I've ever had fitted.

PS4S's came as standard on my Tesla model 3 Performance. I've done 16k miles and have about 4-5mm tread left.

Great tyres, they just feel "right" to me.

20k on Dunlops 13k on PS4... They are very good though. Just replaced my fronts down to wear markers while back still had 4.5 / 5mm.

Brilliant tyres, by far the best I've used wet or dry.
I'm a really big fan of them too. I have them on my 370Z, and I've recently put them on the front of my Cooper S and it has transformed it(versus the previous Primacy 3's I had on it).

I did a shop around and Halfords were cheapest (very similar to direct Michelin route which seems to take you from Michelin > Black Circles > Halfords!. They are doing 10% discount and a £50 Halfords voucher to use in store when you buy 4. Ignoring Halfords voucher, worked out £115 a corner fitted (18") which seems comparable to other decent tyres.

Really useful. Funny how there are always conflicting experiences of wear rate, but generally they seem to do well.

Yes my Leon FR feels hard at the front, but being it came with fresh Fast Response's fitted, it could be that..

Tempted to give the PS4 a go when the time comes, I also feel like having 150 BHP will really be kind to them with the sort of power other members are putting down!

How are people finding the PS4's in the colder weather?

I currently have Crossclimate+ tyres which are generally great in most situations, but struggle with low speed acceleration in the wet (not always cold at the same time.)

I only have 180hp and 400Nm and it's an automatic so not huge performance but the main issue is getting traction in the wet up to 30mph.
