Hand car washes. How do they make money.
Discussion
Having a car that's well sealed makes cleaning this time of year much easier. I did it last night at the local Tesco. £2 in the jet wash, cold rinse setting and just blasted the car with cold water for 5 minutes. Looks 10x better than it did yesterday!
I'll give it a proper wash myself next weekend. For now, it's fine!
It's the inside that bothers me. I'd rather have a clean interior as thats where I spend my time.

I agree (with walm).
If it's mucking about on the driveway in the summer sun having water fights and getting the car cleaned at the same time, I'm happy to clean the car myself (with my kids' "help").
When it's freezing cold and the hosepipe is stored for the winter, etc, it just becomes a real chore and I'd rather pay someone else to do it. Same as me having a cleaner rather than scrub the bathrooms myself.
Hot water in the suds bucket, rubber gloves, and rinsing it clean with a watering can solves the "cold hands / frozen hosepipe" problem in Winter. Takes about 30mins from start to finish. Total cost around 50p a wash. Total saving around £5-10 a wash.If it's mucking about on the driveway in the summer sun having water fights and getting the car cleaned at the same time, I'm happy to clean the car myself (with my kids' "help").
