Second-hand tyres put lives at risk, councils warn
Discussion
Meanwhile in other news.
Tyre manufacturers and retailers have warned today that local councils are putting people at risk, with shoddy road maintenance, lack of enforcement of parking restrictions close to schools, cutbacks in social care for the elderly, corner-cutting on DBS checks for carers leading to potential financial abuse of older people, child safeguarding failures, inadequate refuse collections which increase the risk of respiratory disease and rat infestation especially over the summer months, and generally by being a bunch of incompetent, supercilious and thick fkers staffed by the kids who were on the 'slow table' by and large.
Local council leaders tried to comment: but couldn't work out how to use email.

The oil thing is a red herring. Tyres have a visible life indicator. The depth of the tread.
Nondense, that's not the only indicator of life of a tyre but you often won't be able to see the others.Oil can be very easily tested and strained, nothing wrong with reusing oil is there, if you reuse tyres ?
A pair of eyes and an ability to estimate size.
Both are also handy for driving too!
You won't be able to tell if the oil is the correct grade without further testing too.
Thanks for not calling me dense too

Sorry it just reminded me. Not a dig. He didn't like her driving his cars either.
Haha. Don't worry about it. It made me laugh. Before we had more children than is sensible my wife used to drive around in our Golf GTi while I was rocking around in an old 1.8 Freelander. Now THAT was taking my life in my hands! talksthetorque said:

I know a family and they have had several accidents, they always buy aged french hatchbacks, do huge mileages on the cheapest nastiest tyres you can buy.
They clearly don't learn then!jeremyh1 said:
If you cant afford to run a car properly and safely and you can only afford part worns. Then why dont you get a bicycle or take the bus
Perhaps for the same reason why people who can't punctuate or construct sentences properly don't refrain from posting idiotic comments.Brilad said:
