I thought that too, it requires everyone to have the app installed too.

As this is £3.99, surely the only people who would pay for and download this would be pregnant women which would totally negate the function??

Why would I pay £3.99? If I can see a pregnant/elderly/less abled person than myself, then obviously I give up my seat but I wouldn't purchase the app!

The article says:

"We are donating 100% of the profits to charity."

So take you take out your profit/costs/salary/etc you give away what's left. That's alright then.

Indeed. Though it would avoid the situation where I offered a seat to a "pregnant" lady only to discover in fact she was more fond of donuts and not with child..........

The listener side of the app is free. Payment is only needed to activate the 'give me your seat' function.

Could you repeat that?

I got as far as "So take you take out your profit" and got lost.
My fingers didn't keep up with my brain !

What I meant to type was:

So you take out your costs/salary/etc and you give away what's left. That's alright then.

i.e. it's easy to declare almost none/no profit in any company.
