That said, my local branch are OK. Helpful and friendly enough. That's the point with Kwik Fit. It's a franchise model, so it depends on the individual franchisee and how they run the business. What I would say is that Kwik Fit don't seem to police the standards upheld by companies operating under their brand very effectively if the massive variation in customer experience between branches is any indication.
Are they actually a franchise? I thought they were a chain, certainly their website doesn't mention anything about centres being a franchise, other than a link to EU franchise opportunities (non-UK). It should be obvious on a receipt/invoice though.

Well, a specific list of countries http://www.kwik-fit.eu/countries

Yep, I had this from some Professional Tyrefitters in Bristol. Completely rinsed me for £150 on a 4 wheel alignment, new suspension fitted a few months later proved they hadn't touched half of the adjustments I was charged for.
I would only ever use FCM in Bristol for Alignment - £40 for 4 wheels and a superb professional job.

Why did you change them if they weren't worn that much?
Because I ordered them thinking they were 90% worn, when I took the old pads out they were no where near that worn. I could either refit them or put the brand new ones in that cost me £26 (genuine parts).
