I would imagine a 6.5litre V12 at 8,500rpm sounds very special indeed.

I look forward to videos and maybe one day hearing one in real life thumbup

It wont be sold out, its a full production car like the F12 was.

Beautiful, not quite as beautiful as the F12, which I thought was the prettiest Ferrari in a long time.

Cant wait to hear that V12 at full chat.

Somewhere in the £1.5 - 2m region I would suspect.

The front is fussy and overly aggressive for something so obviously fast, the rear looks like a 355 has entered a Corvette and the side looks like it has been sideswiped by a giant banana.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have one but it is hardly a thing of beauty. Ferrari made beautiful cars until about the year 2000 since when they've all looked a bit too...much.

Bonkers, just like Ferrari should be.

Love it.

Technically stunning but aesthetically challenging for me. Large organic curves clashing with sharp strakes and fussy details. I'm sure Ferrari justify it all aerodynamically but it's a mess for these eyes.

Now that's a name only Ferrari could come up with! Looks like a beautiful machine.

812?

So it's not named after total cubic capacity like the 500 Superfast or the 599 GTB.

It's not named after the swept capacity per cylinder like the 488 GTB.

It's not the number of litres, then cylinders, like the 612 Scaglietti.

Each hundred bhp + number of cylinders?

Enough pondering - I'm just going to look at it & drool.

I was thinking the same thing - the name always has a meaning, and I couldn't work out this one.

Don't care. It's awesome. Front-engined V12 Ferraris are what is best in life (contrary to what Conan or Genghis Khan might say).

I suspect 8 for the 800bhp then 12 for the cylinder count. 800bhp is 811PS....

812ps is 800.89bhp though, so the PS sounds right to me..

Normal production replacement for F12.

Everybody is now free to go out and give their local dealer £250k for the latest and most powerful without being turned away because they don't meet the criteria for the limited run cars...

Happy days for all those 'enthusiast' who just want to drive the latest and greatest and are happy to live with depreciation eek
